Docklands Light Railway - Woolwich Arsenal
Skip to navigationStations
The new station at Woolwich Arsenal has been designed to a very high quality incorporating modern passenger facilities. The station will include full, step-free access to platforms with lifts and escalators. The station will be covered throughout by CCTV and staffed at all times. Initially it is envisaged trains will leave every 5 to 7 minutes with services to Bank and Canning Town and ultimately direct to Stratford in time for 2012.
The station is being constructed on three levels. Two levels are underground and the upper concourse is at ground level. Entry into the station by stairs, escalators and lifts is from both Woolwich New Road and Greens End. Having two station entrances maximises the links to the town centre, adjacent sites and public transport links with other modes. Passengers wishing to connect to the existing National Rail platforms at the station will be able to do this either via:
- a new footbridge on the upper concourse for travel towards London, or
- the lower concourse where they can access directly on to the platform for travel towards Kent.
