DLR Extension to Dagenham Dock

DLR is applying to the Secretary of State for Transport as part of the Transport and Works Act 1992 process to authorise DLR to construct an extension to the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) from Gallions Reach in the London Borough of Newham to Dagenham Dock railway station in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, on the London, Tilbury and Southend railway line.

The Order also makes provision in relation to the construction of new DLR stations along the extension, the compulsory purchase and temporary use of land, the compulsory purchase of rights in land and the compulsory imposition of restrictive covenants over land, the stopping up or diversion of existing rights of way, temporary traffic regulation, street works and ancillary works and land powers. The Order contains a number of protective provisions for the benefit of affected undertakings.

The application contains a statement that a direction for deemed planning permission is being applied for in relation to the development that would be authorised by the Order.

A copy of the application, and of all plans and other documents submitted with it, may be inspected free of charge from Wednesday, 30 April 2008 until Wednesday, 11 June 2008 by visiting the following locations:
