Option Development

In June 2005, DLRL re-engaged consultants to reassess the scheme costs and design. As a result, a new design envisaging 90m platforms connected by a lightweight transparent replacement bridge link from Carmen Street and Hay Currie Street was developed. The station will be fully accessible from street level and the bridge will contain two lift shafts at either end to provide connections into and across the station.
